Kids’ Guide
Here’s something for your ears: with our audio guide for kids, your visit to Futurium is about to become even more of a multimedia experience. Nubi, our digital ghost, will be guiding all curious kids to ten very special points in the exhibition. He’ll cheerfully provide them with exciting information, let them solve tricky puzzles and take them on a visit to the other charming creatures living at Futurium.
Using the audio guides is as easy as it gets: log into the Wi-Fi with your smartphone, put on your headphones, scan the QR code – and off you go!

Children's Rallye
Discovering futures on your own? Pick up our children's rallye booklet "Off to the Future" (available in English and German) at the information counter in the foyer and dive into Futurium! All you need is a pen and a curiosity for new things. Have fun with it!
YouTube Series “Fast, Forward, Future”
“Fast, Forward, Future” (“Zick, Zack, Zukunft”) is Futurium’s YouTube series with and for children. Should children be given the right to vote? How might our cities become more climate-friendly? Will we soon be relaxing on Mars? Young reporters ask Futurium’s experts their own questions on future-related topics: from robots and space travel to environmental protection. Five episodes, five topics of the future. Have a look!
Family Open Lab
Every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 – 17:00, we offer our Family Open Lab. You can explore questions about the future at Futurium Lab and playfully learn about the technical basics in robotics, 3D printing, programming or laser cutting.
What awaits you:
- Ideas for the future of democracy. Use augmented reality and stickers to develop your ideas for living together tomorrow.
- Logistics of the future. You will think about future logistics solutions with small learning robots.
- 3D printing. Try out new production techniques when you make objects by hand or with our machines in the workshop.
- Raw materials of the future. You will learn what "urban mining" is and develop your own product ideas.
The workshop themes alternate, offer different levels of difficulty and are suitable for everyone from 8-99 years old.
Our workshop mentors speak English. They will be happy to assist you with the experiments and workshop. Just drop by the Futurium Lab on Saturdays and Sundays between 12:00 and 17:00. The workshops take place in a drop-in format, which means you can join in at any time. Free entrance.
