New ingredients

Concrete made from vegetable waste, a fungus growing inside your computer and the new desk that used to be a fridge. This is how your world could look like in the future. Many things we use today are made from materials whose production harms the climate, consumes huge amounts of energy and destroys the environment. But there are already so many ideas about how we could make things differently: By inventing new materials from renewable, sometimes unusual resources. By turning leftovers and waste into useful materials. Or by producing and consuming less. But for that to happen, the entire system has to change, from production to consumption.
