The economy of tomorrow needs women. Sub-Saharan Africa is leading the way: the average proportion of female entrepreneurs in the region is four times higher than in Europe.

Studies show that female-led companies perform better in terms of environmental and climate protection as well as with regard to social aspects. And female entrepreneurs are more often committed to the common good than their male counterparts. What can we learn from them? We invite you to an exchange of experiences and perspectives between different regions of the world.

Speakers
Helene Banner, Moderator. She has spent ten years as a spokesperson in European politics and now founded her own business project “Let‘s Just Be Imperfect, Ladies”.
Elsa Rajemison, co-founded the mobile platform mTomady, which accelerates access to medical treatment for those in need. With the company, Elsa wants to contribute to the transformation of the health system in her home country of Madagascar.
Mulu Hundera, does research about family support for female entrepreneurs in countries in the global south. Mulu Hundera is a business economist at Haramaya University in Ethiopia and is currently a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at the University of Cologne.
Mina Saidze, author and founder of “Inclusive Tech.” With her initiative, Mina Saidze advocates for greater AI ethics and diversity in the tech industry. Manager Magazine named her one of the leading AI thought leaders in Germany.
Milena Glimbovski, founder of the packaging-free supermarket “Original Unverpackt” and the publishing house “Ein guter Plan”. To realize her plans, she raised 100,000 euros through crowdfunding and pitched in the TV-Show “Höhle der Löwen”.
Stefan Wilhelm, initiates social impact projects for the Bayer Foundation. The Bayer Foundation invests in social entrepreneurs worldwide to strengthen women as actors in the economy. In a spotlight, he will give a quick insight into the investor’s experiences in scaling female led businesses.
