Launch Weekend for the Theme of “Mobility”

Futurium moves!

Mobility means movement – of people and nature, of things, but also of ideas and knowledge. Surfing the net, migration, climate crisis, pandemics or participation in social life – all these topics have something to do with mobility. Because mobility permeates our entire lives. Mobility can connect, but it also creates new restrictions. Not everyone is equally mobile. Borders, fences or barriers of all kinds, but also personal characteristics such as origin and gender influence our individual mobility.

On the weekend of 27/28 November, we will open up the topic of mobility for you in the exhibition and in the Futurium Lab. We will show you how lightning-fast transport from A to B could soon work, while perhaps people are forced to stop at borders elsewhere. We will show you possible solutions and discuss their opportunities and risks. But above all, we want to encourage you to see for yourselves and let your imagination run wild. The opening will be accompanied by workshops, talks and guided tours about the future of mobility.
